WE DEMAND ACTION

STOP THE HYPOCRISY

In WHO negotiations for a Pandemic Accord, the US and EU oppose concrete solutions that would allow all countries to increase access to medicines in future health crises.  At the same time, domestically the US and EU do not hesitate to implement measures to overcome IP barriers and increase their ability to secure medicines for their own populations.

Join us in demanding that they end their hypocrisy.

Activists in Philippines protest on 11 March after two years of pandemic

END COVID MONOPOLIES

March 11 marked the beginning of the third year since the World Health Organization formally declared COVID-19 a global pandemic.

Activists gathered in 16 countries spanning four continents to demand that leaders stop the next COVID variant and finally end the pandemic by waiving intellectual property rights, sharing vaccine formulas, and funding global production of vaccines, tests and treatments to prevent the next COVID variant and end these constant disruptions in our lives.

ONE WORD FOR PHARMA

Pfizer, BioNTech and Moderna are making more than $1,000 a second in profits, whilst thousands of people around the world continue to die from COVID-19 every day.

We asked people to share their #OneWordForPharma to tell pharma companies what they think of pharma’s pandemic profiteering.

DEMAND NO PATENTS

In October 2020 the Indian and South African governments presented a proposal to the WTO to waive intellectual property protections including patents, copyright and trade secrets on all medical goods used to treat COVID-19, particularly vaccines. But a few rich country governments continue to block this proposal.

Over 13 million people have signed to demand a real People’s Vaccine – and hundreds have taken action demanding that leaders drop patents and share the technology to produce more life-saving COVID-19 vaccines.
