There is no moral justification for millions to die whilst pharma billionaires line their pockets with profits gained in part from public research and investment. We cannot continue on a path where pharma shareholders call the shots and women, minorities, and people in poorer countries suffer the consequences.
We must break up monopolies, improve global research capacities, and support tech transfers that ramp up production of lifesaving vaccines, tests and treatments.
Pandemics should not be a case of survival of the richest.

THE PEOPLE’S MEDICINES
The people’s MEDICINES
A coalition of over 100 organisations and networks, supported by Nobel Laureates, health experts, economists, Heads of States, faith leaders and activists, working together towards a world where everyone can access the medicines they need, regardless of where they live or what they earn.
We focus on:
Supporting Pandemic Preparedness
We are advocating for better pandemic preparedness, prevention, and response to avoid a repeat of the terrible failure during COVID-19.Challenging Barriers
We are challenging trade and intellectual property barriers and pharmaceutical company behaviours that restrict access to lifesaving medical technologies for COVID-19 and other diseases. This includes addressing trade and intellectual property barriers.Advocating For Better
Promoting public policy to build equitable access to medical technologies for all, including public funding for R&D, sharing technology and IP, and investing in diversified manufacturing in the South such as through initiatives like the mRNA technology transfer programme. We believe that access to life-saving medicines is a basic human right and our members are committed to achieving this for all. We are working towards a world where everyone has access to affordable and effective medicines, no matter where they live or what their income is. Join us.
